F. Darnall Daley Jr.’s book The Commissioner’s Corner: A Collection of Inspirational Essays is a collection of inspirational essays originally published in the Herbie Hawk News, a newsletter of the Hawk Mountain Council, Boy Scouts of America They were written by F. Darnall Daley, Jr. from 1986 to 2002 during the years that he was the Council Commissioner. Included is a forward by Richard C. Bennett and the poems ‘The Boy Scouts Mother Asked’ and ‘Back Behind the Tooth of Time – Just Another Philmont Day.’ These inspirational essays cover a wide range of Scouting subjects from Advancement to Program Planning. His essays, ‘Guardian of the Gate’ on advancement and ‘The Forces of Evil Are Loose In the World’ have been widely quoted.
